St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society assists those in need in the Carlisle-Franklin-Springboro area in paying their rent and utilities and in obtaining food and medicine. A telephone Helpline, 937-557- 1711 x 108, is maintained for easy contact by those seeking assistance and those wishing to make donations. Meetings are held on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 9:00am in the Parish Center. Those wishing to join are encouraged to attend the meetings.
Our next Bundle Sunday is scheduled for September 15-17 from 7 am to 7 pm. Please place all gently used donations in a box or bag. Tattered, broken, or damaged donations will not be accepted. The donor is responsible for opening/closing the doors and placing the items in the truck. If you are dropping off items for SVdP trailers at St. Mary's during these hours, please note there is no one at the truck to assist with unloading items. If you are unable to lift items or step into the trailer, please bring someone with you to assist with the drop off. Trailers are locked at 7:00pm and unlocked the following morning during the scheduled hours.
Items that cannot be accepted include: Ammunition & Guns (Includes Paint Ball Guns), Blinds w/o Brackets, Bowling Balls, Coil Bed Springs, Computers or Computer Components over 3 yrs. old, Console Stereos, Crutches or Durable Medical Equipment, Entertainment Centers, Fax Machines, Furnaces & Hot Water Heaters, Garage Door Openers, Gas Cylinders, Propane Tanks or Fire Extinguishers, Hospital Beds, Metal or Wood Cribs, Metal Desks, Paint or Flammables, Pianos or Organs requiring more than two men to remove, Sheet Glass or Mirrors w/o Frames, Slate Pool tables, Televisions – over 5 yrs. old, Tires, Trophies, Water Beds, furniture or bedding with visible rips, stains, tears, or pet hairs.
If you have questions, please contact the St. Vincent de Paul Community Store Call Center at 937-425-0592. If you have large pieces of furniture to donate, please call our helpline at 937-557-1711 X 2. We try to keep these furniture donations local. If we cannot use the furniture locally, we will provide the store’s phone number. The SVdP store is no longer collecting beds. Thank you for your previous generosity! The SVdP store is always appreciative of the support and generosity. Let us fill these trucks again with contributions from Our Family of Parishes! Tax deductible donation forms are available in an envelope inside the trailer.
